Haworthia Retusa, Star Cactus
Haworthia are our go-to choice for a versatile, easy houseplant with an aesthetic that fascinates. Look at those interesting patterns!
Haworthia retusa form star-shaped rosettes, up to 6 inches in diameter and bright lime leaves that boast translucent triangle tips marked with stripes. During late spring you may be surprised by a tall (up to 20 inches) flower stalk with small, tube-shaped white flowers emerging from the center of the rosette.
Care: Place indoors in a south or west facing window for best, bright light exposure. These are native to dry riverbeds so they prefer bottom watering to recreate their natural environment. Simply place in a dish of water a few times a month (more in the summer) for an hour or so to allow your plant to soak in the moisture. We recommend monthly feeding by adding a few drops of our Sacred Soil Tonic to the water.
